Education/Background: Shannon is a member of One Community Health’s clinical team whose job is to help people reach the best version of themselves. Her approach to her work at One Community Health is informed by her own life history as a person who has utilized mental health services and as a member of a first-generation immigrant family. Shannon teaches yoga, and mindfulness, and is a certified yoga therapist through the international association of yoga therapists. For many years, Shannon has worked with people who have experienced trauma; she completed her practicum at HAVEN, supporting survivors of domestic and sexual violence. She feels honored when people trust her enough to share their life stories and wisdom and is awed by human resilience. Whether you are working on changing behaviors, navigating life adjustments, or need help with mental health or substance use challenges, Shannon is available to listen and support you. She believes that healthcare is a human right. Shannon is passionate about being an ally to Native American people and as part of the Native American health and wellness team, she has the opportunity to be an advocate and bring services to communities in an accessible and culturally relevant way. She deeply values the opportunity to be a guest in other people’s cultures and strives to practice cultural humility.

Favorite activities: Shannon enjoys camping, hiking, white water rafting, hanging out with her two dogs Koda and Carl. She also enjoys studying about yoga, spending time in relationship with community, walking, dancing, laughing, and playing like a big kid.
