NorthShore Medical Group welcomes Tessa Wallace as new Behavioral Health provider

White Salmon, WA, July 23, 2018: NorthShore Medical Group (NSMG), a community-based practice serving all of the residents of the Columbia River Gorge regions, is pleased to announce that Tessa Wallace, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker will be joining NSMG in early Sept. 

Tessa’s role as a clinical social worker and behavioral health provider will be a welcome asset to NSMG as there is a shortage of this specialty within the Columbia River Gorge area. 

Behavioral health providers are able to help with medical conditions such as the physical symptoms of stress and, to promote well-being by preventing stress due to life events and crises. They can provide services for mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety. Providers can also work to prevent or intervene in substance abuse or other addictions. 

Behavioral health and medical care, working together, can significantly increase the effectiveness of medical treatment. Tessa can provide on-site therapy, in a convenient location, and in collaboration with patient’s primary care provider. 

Tessa has a Masters in social work, with 12+ years of experience providing individual and family therapy. She will work closely with the medical providers at NSMG to care for patients. Tessa is also an Assistant Adjunct Professor at the University of Southern California, teaching courses in social work.
