Education/Background: Dr. Souflée graduated from Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin and completed residency with Providence Hood River Family Medicine Residency Rural Training Program. She grew up in the Village Creek watershed of north Texas, graduated with honors in Latin American studies and anthropology at UT Austin, and earned a Masters of Education from Harvard University. She was a Teach For America New Mexico corps member (2013), serving as a high school English teacher on the Navajo Nation. She taught writing and literature at the high school and community college level prior to transitioning to the medical field.
