Education/Background: Dr. Gena Vinsky was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. When she was 12 years old, her family immigrated to San Francisco. Dr. Vinsky always had a passion for healthcare, where topics such as physiology and anatomy were some of her favorites. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of San Francisco and worked as an ICU nurse for 3 years. In 2009, she moved to Portland to pursue her DMD degree at Oregon Health and Science University. After graduation, she decided to continue practicing in public health dentistry where she feels most fulfilled by providing care to people who have limited access to dental care.
