NorthShore Medical Group announces Karin Guertin as new Behavioral Health provider

White Salmon, WA, May 13, 2019: NorthShore Medical Group (NSMG), a community-based practice serving all of the residents of the Columbia River Gorge region, is pleased to announce that Karin Guertin, a behavioral health provider with a Masters in Social Work, will be joining NSMG May 13, 2019.

Karin has a blended background in both social work and healthcare, holding a master’s degree in social work and is a licensed physical therapist assistant. Karin is also a yoga teacher, and has experience teaching yoga for chronic pain, stress management, recovery from injuries, and fall prevention.

Behavioral health providers are able to help with medical conditions such as the physical symptoms of stress, and to promote well-being by teaching coping skills for life events and crises. They also provide services for conditions such as depression and anxiety.

Behavioral health and medical care, working together, can significantly increase the effectiveness of medical treatment. Karin will provide on-site therapy in a familiar location, and in collaboration with the patient’s primary care provider.

Karin will be working in both our White Salmon and Stevenson offices. We welcome and are excited to have Karin join our team at NSMG.

NorthShore Medical Group is committed to providing comprehensive care for the communities it serves, helping individuals and families achieve good health and wellness through a network of dedicated healthcare providers recognized as leaders in their areas of practice.
