Having a baby? You're in good hands.

Pregnancy & Postpartum Care at One Community Health

At One Community Health, we offer thoughtful, expert, obstetric care for people who are pregnant and their babies. Our perinatal program is the only one of its kind in the Columbia River Gorge. It’s designed to empower you with education and support during and after your pregnancy.

What’s different about prenatal care at OCH?

  • Our Perinatal Program is one of a kind! You’ll get one-on-one support from a Certified Community Health Worker and Registered Nurse throughout your pregnancy. Vicky, Delfina, and Esther will provide education on a healthy pregnancy, help arrange lab work, ultrasounds, and doctor visits, and be available for any questions that come up.

  • Our physicians have collectively delivered thousands of babies in the Gorge!

  • All of our services are offered in English and Spanish by bilingual providers, RNs, and Community Health Workers.

What we offer:

  • Prenatal care at The Dalles Health Center and Hood River Health Center

  • Participation in a Perinatal Program where you will receive one-on-one support from a Community Health Worker and Registered Nurse

  • Assistance applying for health insurance, including Oregon’s prenatal coverage through CAWEM

  • Delivery at Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital under the care of an experienced One Community Health physician

  • Postpartum care, including family-planning services, at The Dalles Health Center and Hood River Health Center

How does Pregnancy Care at OCH work?

  • Your family doctor at One Community Health provides prenatal services, taking care of you and your baby before and after the delivery. All our family doctors provide prenatal services, taking care of you and your baby before and after the delivery. Within that team, we have a smaller group of excellent obstetric physicians who can deliver your baby at Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital, our partner hospital. Each of our doctors has years of experience delivering babies in the Gorge. Most of your visits will be with your doctor of choice. We will also make sure you have the chance to meet our other doctors, as they may help with delivering your baby.

  • A perinatal Community Health Worker works with you throughout your pregnancy to answer questions, give timely support, and make sure you get the care you need when you need it. Many people who go through this program come away feeling a special, unforgettable bond with their doctor and their perinatal community health worker.
