Welcome 2023 Medical Residents

In collaboration with Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital, One Community Health (OCH) offers a Rural Family Medicine Residency Program, under the direction of the Program Director, Dr. Bob Gobbo. During the 3-year program, the residents practice at Providence Hood River, Providence Milwaukie Family Medicine and OCH. Residents return to Portland for two- to four-week blocks each year for higher volume rotations in obstetrics, adult medicine and desired electives.

We are thrilled to announce the arrival of our new residents who have joined our dedicated team of healthcare professionals: Jack Kennady and Rachel Monroe! These individuals bring a wealth of expertise and passion, further strengthening our commitment to providing exceptional care to the Columbia Gorge community.

Rachel is a Resident studying at Washington State School of Medicine, Spokane (Undergrad at College of Idaho/Biology). She grew up in Ontario, Oregon. She is a self-starter and stands out for her maturity, professionalism, caring and calm communication, resourcefulness, and leadership. She strives to make her patients feel safe and to be someone they can confide in. Rachel impressed us with her passion for full spectrum rural family medicine. She wants to be a resource for her community by easing the burden for those seeking medical care.  She sees her path in serving rural families to include caring for their complex medical problems and offering them expertise in procedural skills in one practice.

Jack is a Resident studying at University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine – San Antonio, TX (Undergrad at Austin College/Public Health, minor in Environmental studies and French). Jack expresses a passion for community-based care. He impressed us with his compassionate and curious nature and a charming and humble approach to both staff and patients. His commitment to practicing full spectrum family medicine in underserved and underrepresented communities stems from his early life experiences growing up in a rural west Texas community.

We are privileged to have these talented individuals join our team of healthcare professionals. We look forward to the positive impact they will make and the contributions they will bring to OCH. New and existing patients can schedule appointments with Rachel and Jeff online or by calling 541-386-6380.
